February 6 & 7, 2016: That Kansas Sunrise

Really not a whole lot to say about last weekend’s hunts. In fact, so little – even in terms of photographs – that I combined them into one post.

One of the best things about our time afield is watching each day awaken and come to life. Or, in other cases, watching dusk quietly, gently usher the day away to slumber. We get to capture these moments and share them with you via our photographs. But, I assure you, no piece of equipment will ever catch, not in all of the magnificence that can be experienced by actually being there – the magic, the wonder, of watching it happen before your very eyes.

This. This here. It’s what makes the days with little or no game, still hold value. Still keeps us coming back, every free moment we have. I’m fortunate – and thankful – to be surrounded by friends that feel the same way. I’m lucky to hunt with those that count these days as equally successful as those where a bountiful harvest are experienced.
