MARCH 14, 2015: Saturday “Stuff”

Just another Saturday behind the lens…

I feel like I am really squeezing every last moment I can out of the 2014-2015 waterfowl season. And not because we are actually getting into any snow geese; no, it’s quite simply about the Canon at this point. Not that I wouldn’t like to put this year’s new accessory – my Briley +6 magazine extension – to the test, mind you… but the photos have been good. Unfortunately, this morning provided very little outside of shooting plastic. One pair of Canada’s, obviously upset with the presence of 8 dozen white intruders in their quiet little hole, screamed and honked their way in, giving me at least something alive to photograph.

An afternoon at the stable gave me a bit more in the way of subject matter. Between our Rembrandt getting a new set of kicks, me loving up on my new girlfriend Bella, the Dutch Warmblood I have been “dressaging” it up on, and a few other shots here and there, I got to pull the trigger (shutter!) plenty and enjoy a beautiful afternoon outside.
