April 16-18, 2021: Lake of the Ozarks – Crappie & Blues

One of those “guy weekends” you always look forward. The crew doesn’t get together as often as we’d like, so when we do, we make it a pretty good time. And every once in awhile, we even catch a few fish. This weekend – while quite cool and a little wet – was one of those. Fun in the evenings, with an adult beverage and a deck of cards, is a given. Success on the water, however, not always so. We hit this one right, though, and found all of the crappie we could catch, and when we got bored with that (ok, poor word choice… nobody gets bored of catching crappie!) we chased the blues, and found as many good eaters – along with a few big slot fish – as our trolling motors would power us through to catch.

Great time, and outstanding fishing. Always end these weekends thinking of how to get back again. Soon, I hope.
