Every year at our Johnson County Ducks Unlimited annual banquet fundraiser, we – of our “Kansas Outdoorsmen” posse, and whom are all also DU committee members – donate a hunt to the chapter to auction off for the good of conservation. We’ve been pretty lucky that things have lined up well for us each year, with birds and weather cooperating. In fact, the same group of guys won this bid previously, and were not going to let it get away after the previous year’s hunt (check it out HERE!) – we were pretty happy to have the same group back, as it took some of the pressure off.
And if I was a betting man, I’d bet they bid on it again this year…
Everyone had an excellent time, as we enjoyed one of the most incredible sunrises any of us had every witnessed, along with quite an airshow that ranged from hours of snow geese to occasional groups mallards to our focal point – Mr. Canuck.
