DECEMBER 19, 2015: Scratching Out a Few

Tough morning. No generator for the ice eater. No wind. Bad deal. Somehow, a few crazy birds decided the chunky ice looked good. Very small hole, slushy ice, no wind, still killed a few, and that was with gun problems and poor shooting. 4 groups of canvasbacks worked us. Wind and open water might have been limits today – that kind of numbers in the air. Turned out ok. Not many pics, but a memorable hunt.
